 Educated at University College London after obtaining Open Entrance Scholarship and Physiology with distinction (Gold Medal).Lectures on the Manchester University AFOM course. A member of the MCQ Committee for the Diploma of Occupational Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians of London since October 1995 (became the Chair in October 2001). CPD through reading of relevant journals and attends one-day seminars including annual `refresher'.In April 2001, appointed as a part-time medical expert panel member of the Appeals Service by the Lord Chancellor (England). In June 2004, appointed as an independent medical adviser to the Metropolitan Police Service for fitness to work appeals (Regulation 33).
